Will there ever be a correction?<\/p>\n
Last night I was driving up to weber canyon and I turned on Sirius XM and was listening to a program where Tony Hawk the skater legend was the host. \u00a0He had Jack Black and Tenacious D as guests. \u00a0It was entertaining listening to them talk about different things. \u00a0It was interesting to me they talked about Trey Parker and Matt Stone the creators of South Park. \u00a0Tony and Jack marveled at how they had targeted the Scientology but had abandoned them to target the Mormons, both had seen the Book of Mormon show on Broadway. \u00a0They also both commented it was funny, but that even their most hard core friends felt uncomfortable at times during the show.<\/p>\n
They played a couple of the new Tenacious-D songs. \u00a0I was surprised a the vulgarity, both the swearing and subject matter in the songs. \u00a0I remember in High School how scandalous it was when I heard the Violent Femmes song with the F-word. \u00a0There were a few subtle references to taboo issues in music in the 80’s. \u00a0Now it seems there is no restraint. \u00a0Musicians, TV shows, and movies all of the entertainment industry is about seeing how sensational they can be. \u00a0However, nothing seems to be sensational anymore it’s just a world living in the lowest degree of slim possible.<\/p>\n
I wonder if there will be something that turns this all around and society moves back to the soft and sensible. \u00a0It seemed that after World War II there was a move towards better things.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
