It all started the early last week when I read an article from the Wall street journal A Price of Nearly $0<\/a>\u00a0 I think that was on Tuesday. \u00a0I am spending nearly $200 on gas each month, mostly to commute to work. \u00a0 I started thinking if I sell my car and use that money for a down payment. \u00a0Then I can use the gas money \u00a0to pay for the car. \u00a0from what I understand the\u00a0electricity\u00a0will only cost me about $25 a month. \u00a0 As part of the article they also mentioned that Nissan was giving free rental car days for the long trips. \u00a0I normall rent a car when I am headed out of town so it was another thing that was going to save me some money<\/p>\n

On Wednesday I sent a message to the dealership to find out more about the deal, and started corresponding with a sales guy there. \u00a0I also mentioned my idea to Roman, my 17 year old son. \u00a0Fast forward to Thursday night, Roman had already posted photos of our car on KSL classified, Friday morning He had five people interested in our old car.<\/p>\n

So after work on Friday I headed to the dealership for a test drive. \u00a0I was surprised how fast the car was. So move along to Saturday, three people with cash in hand wanted the car. \u00a0After some craziness we got what we were asking for the old car and we headed over to the Dealership, Tim Dahle Nissan on 45th and State. \u00a0It took a couple of hours, then they found my new leaf somewhere and had it delivered to the dealership on Tuesday. Because I was without a car for a day they rented me a Nissan xterra. \u00a0It was fun for a day. \u00a0 So I got to pick up my car on Tuesday after work.<\/p>\n
