This past weekend I spent about 6 hours at a career workshop.\u00a0 With a couple of friends.\u00a0 I picked up a couple of new things from the workshop.\u00a0 The first is that I need to come up with a better.\u00a0 “Elevator Speech”\u00a0 Here is what I have come up with:<\/p>\n
I am a business consultant with over 15 years of successful leadership experience.\u00a0 I am successful because I can fix problems and motivate employees.\u00a0 With my skills I have been able to raise profits and increase employee productivity.\u00a0 I am passionate about learning something new everyday.\u00a0 Because of this I have been able to identify and adopt emerging technologies.\u00a0 This has help me to better manage risk and design innovative solutions to problems<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
We also learned about power statements. I need to work on more. I am creating a google document with more of the power statements. But here is one for an example.<\/p>\n
I can work hard and smart. for example I was given the responsibility of turning an office around that was missing deadlines. I worked 12 hour days to design and implement a system that paid people more to produce more. Within two months were were beating our deadlines by two hours. and the average production for each employee had doubled.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
